Greetings from rainy Northern California ...
My message to "Family & Friends" about the birth of this blog brought a reply from Stuart Wasserman - a travel writer and photographer I met at Tianguis in the late 90s. Stuart contributed some photos that still appear in Know & Enjoy Mexico and are properly credited.
He pointed me to some articles he's written and have been published.
His "Square Roots" article on Plaza Machado in Mazatlan is very interesting. It was published in the San Diego Union in February 2006 and can be found at http://legacy.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20060219/news_lz1t19square.html
Enjoy!

More on Oaxaca ...
This wonderful article written by David Frey appeared in Friday's SF Chronicle. It dovetails very timely with my prior post about Aeromexico's flight schedules from the San Francisco Bay Area to Oaxaca - through Mexico City.
Here's the link to the article.

Oaxaca Lovers in the San Francisco Bay Area ...
San Francisco Bay Area folks interested in traveling to Oaxaca will be pleased to note that Aeromexico's non-stop flight from SFO to Mexico City departing at 7:00am and arriving at 1:20pm connects to their flight to Oaxaca at 3:05pm, arriving at 4:05pm. The return flight departs Oaxaca at 4:35pm, arrives in Mexico City at 5:40pm and connects with their flight to SFO which departs at 7:30pm and arrives at 10:40pm. This flight operates daily and offers complimentary meals, snacks and open bar. Check out Know & Enjoy Mexico's Oaxaca information at http://www.sanbachs.net/cgi-bin/mexico/mexico2.cgi/City=OAX. Initial Post
Hello World,
In late 1980s and early 1990s, I participated actively in Compuserve's Mexico Travel Section.
Having been born in Mexico City many moons ago into a family that was actively involved in the pioneering and development stages of Mexico's tourism offer, I stated on the forum: "I know Mexico, try me!"
Right away questions flowed about a wide variety of subjects. I fielded and responded with suggestions and worked the cue.
Activity in the CS forum triggered my interest in developing an interactive Mexico Travel information website which my techno-partner and amigo, Bruce Conrad, and I launched online in 1997. The website - Know & Enjoy Mexico is found at www.knowmexico.com. It has attended millions of user inquiries since then.
In addition to providing useful descriptive information on hundreds of cities in Mexico, users can make reservations for hotels, villas and travel packages offered by premiere brands in the business.
Let's get this blog going. I look forward to receiving and attending many posts in days to come.
Have a great day,
Tony
